Why do I teach IEW?

 As I am prepping for the next school year, one of the questions I am hearing most often--other that what are you going to teach--is why do you teach IEW? 

I love to teach IEW classes, first and foremost, because of the results I have experienced with my own children. I began teaching them IEW courses in 2011. Both of my sons have graduated homeschool and are set to graduate college this May. Yikes! I just gave away my age! 🤣 🤣🤣

Both are also competent and confident writers and communicators. I give IEW a lot (oops, banned word!) the majority of the credit.

I have also taught small-group IEW classes since 2012 and have seen similar results from many, many students. IEW has helped me be a better teacher and equip over 200 students with the tools and resources to write well.
